The rest of the trail was completed without any more problems. The road from the longwater trail head to where my tow vehicle was parked did feature some pretty deep snow, but I made it with too much trouble. My fuel pump continued to short out however. I was glad I had used a circuit breaker rather than a fuse. When I got home, I discovered the problem was the wire to the electric fuel pump was caught in the clutch pedal. The trip itself was a great success. I had to be winched twice, but I wasn't the only one to be winched in either place. The people on this run were the best. Once again, I had by far the oldest Jeep and was one of only two with small children. |
