The second trip to Hacket
happened the next week.
I had fixed the brake problem, and Brandon was assisting me doing last minute checks. This time, there was a lot more snow at the trail head. I didn't think there was any way I was going to get very far without winching at every turn. Griz had previously offered to winch my "Grandpa Jeep" wherever I needed and then on I was called "Grandpa Jeep". The group I was with consisted of me, several TJs, an XJ and a 4Runner. Everyone except me and Jeannie had winches. And everyone except me had at least 33" tires. I really hoped I wouldn't be a burden to the group.
Mercedes also came along this time to take more pictures and keep Brandon and I in line. |
