The original steering column was rigidly attached to the Ross steering box.  I could have used a modern GM tilt column, but I wanted to keep it original looking.  There happened to be a '69 DJ-5A postal Jeep at my local junkyard, so I snatched up the steering column, u-joint, steering shaft and rag joint. As a bonus it also included a spartan turn signal switch which self cancels.  The column bolted right up and looks stock.  Unfortunately bolting the column up using the DJ bracket created too severe of an angle for the u-joint.  I had to raise it up a bit to relieve the angle.  I'm not sure I like the wheel that much closer to me and I may shorten it once I've had a chance to drive it.
