The Mustang SVO was originally equipped with a T-5 transmission.  This particular tranny is a bit different from other Ford trannys.  The bearing retainer has a slightly bigger index, so it was necessary to modify the T-18 bearing retainer.  The machinist brazed four patches on the bearing retainer and turned it down to the correct diameter.  I got lucky on the throwout bearing, it was the same size and worked with the T-18 retainer.

Once installed, it should keep the transmission aligned.
