Home

Here is the SVO engine in it's new home.  The motor mounts on the pinto engine were pretty crude and were crooked.  I was able to move the new engine forward from where the old pinto engine was, now I can patch the hole previously cut in the firewall.  The right motor mount is actually a motor mount from an '85 CJ-7.  I only needed to enlarge one of the slots to fit the Ford mount.  The mount itself bolted to the side of the frame in the same manner as it was on the CJ-7.  The driver's side mount is made from angle iron welded together and bolted to the frame.  It is very tight against the frame rail to give me more clearance for the front driveline.
